Case Study 61 – Brown Stains on teeth

Brown Stains on Teeth:  This patient came to us with developmental staining of his teeth.  In other words, the brown stains had been grown onto his teeth and had always been present.  After orthodontic treatment was completed, his dentist polished the stains off of his teeth with a process known as “micro-abrasion”.  The process is a gentle means by which to gradually take away surface stains.  The pictures show his teeth after orthodontic treatment was completed and then again after the stains had been removed.  The pre-orthodontic-treatment pictures were not included because the important part of his treatment being shown here was the stain removal after orthodontic care was finished.
