Case Study 36 – Open Bite
Treatment was with braces in the Damon System. Her front teeth did not touch and she felt that her face was too long, so her upper jaw (maxilla) was lifted which allowed all of the teeth to come together. Total treatment was about 24 months with braces, elastics, and jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery). Treatment was without removal of any teeth and was without a palatal expander. Her treatment was done prior to implementation of custom treatment protocols with Insignia.
