Case Study 16 – Narrow Smiles
Treatment was with braces in the Damon System customized with Insignia. While expanding/broadening the set of teeth to improve the esthetics of her smile, this patient experienced an improvement in her airway as can be seen in the 3D x-rays (volume analysis done on images taken from i-CAT Flx at 11 micro-sievert “quick-scan” compared from before and after treatment). She also had a deep overbite which was addressed during her treatment with braces. Total treatment time was about 12 months with braces without elastics, without removal of any teeth, and without a palatal expander.
